What Jobby does

  • Searches the Maryland Workforce Exchange every week and shows you the jobs worth your time.

Questions

Is Jobby the state's unemployment website?

No. Jobby is an independent helper. It uses your own MWE and BEACON accounts, the same ones you would use yourself, and it is not affiliated with the Maryland Department of Labor.

What if I worked a day or earned money this week?

On the weekly certification screen, tick "I need to change my answers this week" and give that week's answers. Jobby uses them for that week only and keeps your usual answers for next time.

Do I still have to do anything each week?

Yes, a little. Sign in once so Jobby can get past BEACON's picture code, and tap the job contacts you really made. Jobby does the rest.

How long does the Off-Season Pass last?

12 months from the day you buy it, so it covers a whole off-season whenever yours starts. It never renews on its own. Jobby emails you before it ends, and renewing takes one tap.

What happens when I go back to work?

Stop claiming and Jobby stops. On the monthly plan, stop paying whenever you like. Your answers and resume stay saved for next season.

Where are my passwords kept?

Encrypted on Jobby's server with AES-256. They are used only to sign in to MWE and BEACON for you, and they are never shown on any screen.
